Ramadan Mubarak my lovelies 🐫
This is another Arab recipe that us meat eaters love I know in other cultures kofta is meant to be something else but this is an Arab ground beef ball. You don’t need much really and depends how much you are serving for though and can most likely last as leftovers. Anyways I hope you enjoy these recipes and will have many more for this month of Ramadan!
Whenever I cook I usually just eye things especially with the spices but during Ramadan it’s hard to know how something tastes because we can’t eat it unless you’re on your weekly vacation, old or sick. Sometimes I overuse salt on things especially when I’m fasting so if you could marinate it overnight that’s even better and you can eat a little of the raw meat I know sounds gross and probably dangerous but Lebanese do it lol.
- 2 lbs of ground beef
- 1 red onion cubed
- 1 bunch of cilantro
- 1 bunch of parsley
- Black pepper
- 1/2 tsp Dry coriander
- 1/2 tsp Paprika
- 1/2 tsp Cayenne pepper
- 1/2 ground summac
Remember spices will change depending on your taste.
Put the ground beef into a bowl. Add chopped onions and parsley/cilantro.
Then add spices and mix all together with your hands. You can either bake these or grill them I would prefer grilling because of the excess oil and water from the ground beef will evaporate.
You can put them on kebab sticks or make torpedo shaped koftas it might take 10-15 minutes or until it’s brown on the outside and there you have your own kofta kebabs and can be served with tomatoes, pita bread, garlic sauce and cucumbers 😋
