TABBOULEH

Hello my Loves.

This here is another authentic Arab dish that is amazing to have with almost every meal. Us Arabs eat a lot of healthy foods until you bring out those rice dishes literally eating out of your hand which is so much yummier. This dish requires fine knife work as most of the vegetables going into it are finely sliced and no they can not be put in the processor just make sure to have a really good knife to make it easier and of course ingredients will change depending how much people you are feeding or if it is just for yourself. This dish is really easy to make so I hope you will get to try this! Again recipe varies depending how much you are serving to.

Tabbouleh

  • 2 – 3 bunches of parsley
  • 1 – 2 bunches of cilantro
  • 15 pieces of mint
  • 1 – 2 tomatoes
  • 1 Persian cucumber
  • half red onion

Sauce

  • 1/2 cup lemon/lime
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 2 tbsp of summac
  • 1 – 2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 3 – 4 cloves of garlic

Again this dish is amazing to eat with almost everything and needs very fine slices with all the vegetables. The sauce can be put in a processor or done by hand and the summac can be found in Arab shops but make sure it is a purple spice not brownish. This spice is necessary and can be used on variety of salads and chicken like shawarma or Musakhan (Palestinian dish). This salad doesn’t have to be served with Arab dishes only it can be served with many cultural dishes but make sure to call it as it is and say Arab salad.

I hope you enjoy this recipe and I have many more things coming for you guys just remember to subscribe!

With Much Love x
